STRAPPING YOUNG LAD Offshoot Project Inks Deal With VIRUSWORX RECORDS

Vancouver's TENET, featuring STRAPPING YOUNG LAD guitarist Jed Simon, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD/ex-DEATH drummer Gene Hoglan, ex-GRIP INC. bassist Stuart Carruthers, and former SACRIFICE/current INTERZONE frontman Rob Urbinati, have inked a deal with Hamburg, Germany's Virusworx Records. The group are tentatively scheduled to enter the studio in February 2003 with producer/SYL mainman Devin Townsend to record their debut album for a May release.

"After all the years with STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and the futuristic industrial influences I want to make a brutal, real metal album without keyboards," said Simon about what the fans can expect to hear on the upcoming CD. "Stay tuned for a pure thrash metal album with extreme riffs and one of the best metal singers in the world!"
